Anonymous. Painted c. 1665.
Justus de Huybert. Zeeland school, c. 1665. Justus de Huybert (1610-1682) was secretary of the States of Zeeland. The same function he held with the Zeeland Admiralty. Like many prominent contemporaries, Huybert had his portrait painted wearing a Japanese gown, and on his head a skullcap. In the background: the assembly hall of the States of Zeeland in the Abbey of Middelburg.
