Cornelis Meijer, engineer. By Abraham van den Hecken II. Cornelis Meijer (1629-1701) of Amsterdam worked in Rome from 1675 on water management. He published various books describing his technical innovations. The engineer is looking at a book, opened at a drawing of a water-management structure.
